Luke Sparke‘s Occupation: Rainfall is about to get an all-star ensemble for its sequel, titled Occupation: Rainfall Chapter 2.

The franchise, which started with 2018’s Occupation, an Australian sci-fi thriller in which a small town is invaded by an alien force led to the sequel, which had done well internationally and that film had Ken Jeong among the returning cast. Get ready as it was announced at Cannes that Tricia Helfer (above left), Casper Van Dien (above right), Jeremy Piven, Liam McIntyre and the legendary Danny Trejo all have signed on to join the cast of the next installment of the franchise.

Dan Ewing, Jet Tranter, Charles Gerrard, Dena Kaplan, and the voice of Jason Isaacs are all returning for the new film as well.

Survival or extinction. Following the international success of ‘Occupation Rainfall’, comes the continuing chapters of the ‘Rainfall’ trilogy. Earth’s resistance is thrown into chaos as an ominous new threat ruthlessly hunts down the humans that are left, and any aliens who have joined them. With no clear leader and struggling to find common ground, the resistance finds itself on the brink of destruction. Aboard the Mothership, a group of survivors, plan to strike at the heart of the Alien threat – the Rainfall weapon – as the fate of all life hangs in the balance.

And in even more awesome news, Occupation: Rainfall Chapter 3 is already in the works!!! Filming on Occupation: Rainfall Chapter 2 will begin this summer in Australia with Sparke returning to helm and Chapter 3 will be shot immediately after shooting on Chapter 2 comes to an end.
