One of the major action films of 2016 was Gavin O’Connor‘s The Accountant, which starred Ben Affleck as an accountant with autism who also is trained in military skills. In the original film, he uncovers a conspiracy which leads him to use said combat skills to protect himself and a young woman, played by Anna Kendrick.
Now it looks like Affleck and O’Connor will be going a second round as Warner Bros. are gearing for a sequel to the film, which made on a $44 million budget earned $155 million at the box office. Aside from Affleck and O’Connor, producers Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams, along with original screenwriter Bill Dubuque are in talks to return. Jon Bernthal is also in talks to return to his neurotic character from the original film.
