The next chapter of the Fast and Furious film series has cast its villains, including an Oscar winner and an actor from a major HBO series.
After rumors have spread, Oscar winner Charlize Theron has signed on to play the main nemesis in Fast 8. Theron, an Oscar winner will be joined by Kristofer Hivju, who will play her main henchman. Hivju is best known to fans for his role of Tormund Giantsbane on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.
Returning for this installment are Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Elsa Pataky, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham.
Filming began in Iceland and will begin production soon in New York and Atlanta. Directing this installment is F. Gary Gray. Gray has worked with Theron and Statham with the 2003 remake of The Italian Job.
Fast 8 is revving up for an April 24, 2017 release from Universal Pictures.
