Alain Moussi is getting some help from a veteran in his upcoming sci-fi martial arts action film.

Nicolas Cage has signed on to join Moussi, the stuntman who broke through with his lead role in the Kickboxer reboot films, in Jiu Jitsu. The film, based on a graphic novel, revolves around a tournament between aliens and humans where they duke it out for the sake of mankind. Moussi will play Jake Barnes, a decorated war vet and Jiu Jitsu expert who is beaten by the alien warrior Brax, ending up with amnesia in the process.

Cage has signed on to play the role of Wylie, a veteran Jiu Jitsu fighter who will be part of a team who will be tasked with helping Jake regain his memory and train him for the next tournament, where a rematch between Jake and Brax is inevitable.

Dimitri Logothetis will be directing from a script between him and his Kickboxer collaborator Jim McGrath. There has been rumor that Tony Jaa would join the cast, but he has indicated in a recent interview that there have been talks, but nothing finalized as of yet.

More as this develops.
