The Japanese martial arts action film Karate Kill, from Gun Woman helmer Kurando Mitsukake, will make its way to the U.S. in July on DVD, Blu-Ray, and VOD platforms.

The film was originally released in 2016 and stars karateka Hayate as martial artist Kenji, who heads to the United States to rescue his kidnapped sister, played by Mana Sakura. Teaming up with a shotgun-wielding partner, Kenji takes on the mysterious cult responsible for kidnapping his sister.

Described as “Tarentino meets Cannon Films”, the film co-stars Kirk Geiger, Katerina Waters, David Sakurai, Asami, and Noriaki Kamata.

Dark Cuts via Petri Entertainment will be releasing the film on July 18 exclusively on DVD, Blu-Ray, and VOD.
