Production has begun on the big-screen adaptation of the Stephen King novel It, which stars Bill Skarsgard as the demonic spirit who disguises himself as a clown named Pennywise. Six childhood friends defeated the demon only for him to reappear three decades later to get his revenge. Andy Muschietti is directing the film.

A 1990 TV-movie adaptation would be immortalized by the performance of Tim Curry as the demonic clown. Skarsgard says of his version of Pennywise:

“It’s such an extreme character. Inhumane. It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. He’s not even a clown. I’m playing just one of the beings It creates.”

Entertainment Weekly has revealed Skarsgard as the new Pennywise, and he looks like pure evil!
