Since its announcement in December, many rumors have emerged involving Dhoom Reloaded, the fourth installment of the Bollywood action series that began in 2004. The last installment was released in 2013 and featured Aamir Khan as the nemesis while the second installment gained the most popularity with the casting of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai as the film’s villains.

It is now looking like Yash Raj Films, the company behind the original trilogy are looking to somewhat unleash a new installment without the original heroic duo of Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. Bachchan admitted recently he had no clue about the new film while Chopra is doing quite well in helping run his family company (yes folks, Uday and brother Aditya Chopra currently run YRF after the recent passing of their father) as a successful producer.

With YRF looking to put a “youth injection” in the franchise, it is looking like Ranveer Singh will take over as the new hero opposite Salman Khan, who will soon be seen in the upcoming Sultan. If true, Khan will definitely play the villain of the film, following the likes of John Abraham, Roshan, and Aamir.

With these two actors’ popularity, the signing of Singh and Khan for the new Dhoom installment will truly be on the level of the original trilogy. Let’s see what will happen when there is official word on the film.
