A young Dragon Princess is going to be the DC Universe’s Woman of Tomorrow.

Milly Alcock, who played a young Rhaenyra Targaryen on the HBO prequel series House of the Dragon, has beaten the likes of Meg Donnelly and Emilia Jones to win the coveted role of Supergirl, the cousin of the Man of Steel in the soon to be unleashed DC Universe, led by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

According to sources, Supergirl will make her first appearance in the new cinematic universe in Superman: Legacy, which will see David Corenswet as the Man of Steel. The script for her solo film is being written by Ana Noguiera with a director yet to be announced.

Superman: Legacy will be released on July 11, 2025 with Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow to be released afterwards with no release date announced yet.
