In the latest Trailer Watch, we have trailers for some upcoming holiday delights in the form of various genres…it’s a meshing of Seasons Greetings and Seasons Creepings with these Christmas films set for release soon.

We start with the return of an iconic Christmas movie character. A Christmas Story Christmas brings back Ralphie Parker in this retconned sequel to the 1983 holiday classic. Set in the 1970s, we see a now adult Ralphie bringing his family to his childhood home, where he reunites with some old friends (and enemies) as well as reflect on his relationship with the Old Man. Peter Billingsley returns to his breakout role along with fellow returnees Scott Schwartz, R.D. Robb, Ian Petrella, and Zack Ward as Scut Farkas. Julie Hagerty replaces Melinda Dillon as Mrs. Parker in the new film.

We start with the trailer to Joe Begos‘s Christmas Bloody Christmas, which sees a mechanical Santa Claus coming to life and wreaking havoc with the only hope to stop him being a heavy metal lovin’ record store owner. The film stars Riley Dandy, Sam Delich, Jonah Ray Rodrigues, Dora Madison, Jeremy Gardner, with Jeff Daniel Phillips, and Abraham Benrubi.

Next is the romantic comedy Christmas with the Campbells, directed by Clare Neiderpruem and co-written by Vince Vaughn. The film stars Brittany Snow as a woman who is dumped by her boyfriend but is still invited to her ex’s parents’ home for the holidays, where she meets her ex’s cousin! The film co-stars Justin Long, Alex Moffat, Julia Duffy, George Wendt & JoAnna Garcia Swisher.

Next up is Catfish Christmas, directed by Young and the Restless actor Victoria Rowell. A heart-broken young woman returns home for the holidays and feels the family pressure of being single. Her loving yet nosy sister hatches a plan to set her up on an online date with a handsome pro football player. When he turns out not to be her “knight in shining armor,” a childhood friend shows that true love may be much closer than she thinks.

The film stars Leigh Ann Rose, Charlotte Evelyn Williams, Devin Laster, Anthony Riggins Jr., with Ella Joyce, and Tony Todd.

Finally comes the holiday psychological thriller The Apology, written and directed by Alison Star Locke.

Twenty years after the disappearance of her daughter, recovering alcoholic Darlene Hagen is preparing to host her family’s Christmas celebration with her best friend Gretchen. Late Christmas Eve, Darlene’s estranged ex-brother-in-law, Jack arrives unannounced, bearing nostalgic gifts and a heavy secret. Soon, Darlene finds herself caught between reason and ruthless instinct. Trapped together by a dangerous storm, a battle of wits escalates to a violent game of revenge.

Anna Gunn, Linus Roache, and Janeane Garofalo star in the film.
