It’s time for another Trailer Watch, where we unleash trailers that are set to attract genre fans.
The first is the long awaited Halloween Ends, the final installment of the saga that began with 1978’s Halloween and its 2018 requel, followed by 2021’s Halloween Kills. Set 4 years after the events of “Kills”, we see the setup for the final confrontation between Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and “The Shape” Michael Myers. The film will be released on October 14 by Blumhouse and Universal Pictures.
Next up is Terror Films’ upcoming film I Dream of a Psychopomp, which will be released first on the label’s channel on August 12 followed by a Digital release on August 19, then on the Kings of Horror channel on August 26.
After the loss of his beloved wife, Evelyn, Kerry begins to experience haunting visions of her ghost in a state of great distress and confusion. As he tries to make sense of these occurrences, he’s visited in his dreams by a psychopomp who teaches him about the spirit world and soul guiding through stories of death and the supernatural.
Next up is a bromance movie about movers. Movers Ultimate is the story of two best friends who must get off work in time to make it to their 10-year high school reunion and reconnect with the girls that got away. And yes, they’re being careful not to break the China! Written and directed by Ben Rood, the film will have a Digital premiere on August 19.
Wrapping things up is Wicked Ones, a sequel to the 2017 horror film The Wicked One. Set a decade after the events in the first film, survivors Adam and Alex return to Carpenter Falls with their three children – only to be thrust into another confrontation with The Wicked One and two crazed copy cat killers. Starring Halloween‘s Dale Miller, the film will debut On Demand on September 13 with a Special Edition Blu-Ray to be released on November 8.
