For the world of gaming, a battle of the genders is inevitable as we will see in the trailer to the new comedy 1Up.

This outrageously funny e-sports comedy follows Valerie “V” Lee, a competitive gamer whose impressive skills have landed her a college scholarship and a place on the Betas, Barrett University’s male-dominated team. But when the Betas’ captain Dustin tells V she’ll never be a starting player, it’s game on. Joined by her best friend Sloane, and under the guidance of her coach (and teacher) Parker, V forms a fierce all-girl team to band together with one common goal: level up to the nationals…and take down the Betas!

Paris Belerc, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Hari Nef, Nicholas Coombe, Kevin Farley, and Ruby Rose star in the film, directed by Kyle Newman with a script by Julia Yorks.

The film will premiere on Amazon Prime on July 15 from Lionsgate and Buzzfeed Studios.
