Continuing the “Celebration of Pride” interview series, I interview Russian-born filmmaker Wes Hurley, whose story comes to life in his new film Potato Dreams of America. In the film, a young Russian boy comes to grips with becoming gay and adjusting to a new life in America with his mail order bride mother. The cast includes Marya Sea Kaminski, Dan Lauria, Jonathan Bennett, Lea DeLaria, and Tyler Bocock as the young Hurley, aka “Potato”.

The film is now on DVD and Digital with a Special Edition Blu-Ray set to be released on June 21 from Dark Star Pictures and Vinegar Syndrome.
