Disney has unveiled two brand new trailers in their slate of live action adaptations of classic animated films.

The first is one I’ve been personally waiting for, and that is Mulan. Ever since the casting was announced, I have been more than stoked to see a trailer. The Forbidden Kingdom‘s Liu Yifei plays the titular role of the female warrior who disguises herself as a man when she enters the military to replace her ailing father. While we don’t get to see Donnie Yen (as Commander Sheng) or Jet Li (as the Emperor)we do get a shot of her future love interest Chen, played by Yoson An and some of the exhilarating action. The film, directed by Niki Caro, is coming on March 23, 2020.

The second is Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to the surprise 2014 take on Sleeping Beauty. The film reunites Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning as the titular evil fairy and Princess Aurora. In the new film, the latter is set to become the Queen, which ignites a war between Maleficent and the kingdom led by Queen Ingrith, played by Michelle Pfeiffer. This sequel, directed by Joachim Rønning, is set to come out on October 18, 2019.
