It looks like the long gesturing Masters of the Universe movie is being fast-tracked as the central character of He-Man and his alter ego, Prince Adam, has been cast.
At first rumored, actor Noah Centineo (Netflix’s The Perfect Date) went on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to officially announce he will play the Mattel superhero in the live-action film that is set to be directed by the duo of Adam and Aaron Nee. The script written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway has been approved and filming is scheduled to begin later this year.
Masters of the Universe is coming to theaters sometime in 2020 from Sony Pictures.
