It’s time to unleash the “Sonic” boom!
Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer to the live action adaptation of Sega’s iconic video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. In the film, Sonic causes a blackout in the Northwest region of the United States and this causes the government to send in the villainous Dr. Robotnik, who is hellbent on world domination. However, Sonic gets help from a local cop, Tom Wachowski, in an attempt to stop Robotnik and to prevent himself from being captured.
Ben Schwartz is the voice of Sonic with James Marsden co-starring as Wachowski while Jim Carrey comes back to top comedic form as Robotnik. Tika Sumpter co-stars in the film, directed by Jeff Fowler.
Sonic the Hedgehog comes to theaters on November 8 from Paramount Pictures.
