The new Chucky is getting a “force” to help bring the doll to life. And despite today, this is NOT an April Fool’s joke.

At this weekend’s WonderCon, it was officially announced that Mark Hamill, who played the iconic Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, will provide the voice of the reprogrammed BUDDI doll in the soon-to-be released reboot of Child’s Play.

Hamill not only will be known as Luke Skywalker, but he also brought to life in voice form, the iconic Batman villain of The Joker on Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s as well as many animated films and video games as the Clown Prince of Crime until 2010 before returning for Batman: The Killing Joke animated film and Justice League Action, the latter voicing also both The Trickster (a character he played in live-action form on the short-lived 1990 Flash series) and Swamp Thing.

Child’s Play will be coming to theaters on June 21 from Orion Pictures and MGM.
