Blade and the gang are back and RLJE Films has picked them up.
RLJE Films has picked up the North American rights to Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, the thirteenth installment of the classic horror franchise. The film stars Thomas Lennon, Udo Kier, Jenny Pellicer, Nelson Franklin, Charlene Yi, Michael Pare, and Barbara Crampton.
In Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, recently divorced and reeling, Edgar returns to his childhood home to regroup his life. When Edgar finds a nefarious looking puppet in his deceased brother’s room, he decides to sell the doll for some quick cash at a small-town convention celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. Girl-next-door Ashley and his comic book shop boss, Markowitz (Franklin), join Edgar for the doomed road trip. All hell breaks loose when a strange force animates the puppets at the convention, setting them on a bloody killing spree that’s motivated by an evil as old as time.
Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wiklund directed the film, which was produced by Cinestate’s Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk under the resurrected Fangoria label alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian of the Transformers franchise. The film was written by S. Craig Zahler with the original creator of the franchise, Charles Band, serving as executive producer.
RLJE Films is planning an August release for Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich.
