Narcos star Pedro Pascal may be taking on one of his greatest adversaries in his career yet.

Pascal is in negotiations to play the antagonist in Sony Pictures’ The Equalizer 2, which will bring back Denzel Washington to the role of Robert McCall, a supposed mild-mannered Home Depot employee who is a former military operative who in the original, stopped the Russian mob after protecting a homeless teen from a prostitution ring run by said mob.

The film will be Washington’s first sequel in his illustrious career. While the story is under wraps, it is believed that Pascal will play the leader of another high-profile gang.

Antoine Fuqua steps behind the camera again to direct the film, which is set for release on September 14, 2018.

Pascal will be next seen in the upcoming Kingsman: The Golden Circle and will be seen on season 3 of his hit Netflix series Narcos.
