With her lead role debut in Lady Bloodfight being released yesterday, martial artist and stunt performer Amy Johnston is heading back to the ring this August with her next lead role.

In Female Fight Squad, Johnston plays a former fighter who after her father (Dolph Lundgren) is imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit, learns her sister has entered the world of illegal fighting to pay off a debt. Johnston at first reluctantly trains her but when her sister is seriously hurt, she must return to the past and get her revenge.

Directed by Miguel A. Ferrer, based on a script he and Anastazja Davis co-wrote, the film co-stars Cortney Palm, Rey Goyos, Sean Faris, and Shaun Brown.

Lionsgate will be unleashing Female Fight Squad on DVD on August 8th. Check out the trailer below.
