Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks Pictures have done something interesting with teasing their upcoming live-action adaptation of the beloved Japanese manga and anime Ghost in the Shell. Four ten-second and one fifteen-second teasers have been unleashed for the film, which can be seen at the end of this post.

Scarlett Johannson plays the character of The Major, a cyborg policeman sent to track down a nefarious hacker. The film is based on Masamune Shirow‘s original manga, which gained an anime adaptation that gained a massive following amongst fans of anime.

Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, Pilou Asbaek, Rila Fukushima, and Takeshi Kitano co-star in the Rupert Sanders directed film. The film is set for a March 31, 2017 release date.
