yokai-watch-800x420

One of the most popular anime films in Japan will be getting a one-day event on October 15 with the release of Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie Event.

Based on the Level-5 games turned hit anime series, Yo-Kai Watch revolves around young kid Kenta (re-named Nate Adams for the English-language adaptation), who summons various yokai (ghosts) via a special watch given to him. The first full-length movie was one of Japan’s biggest films of 2015, breaking box office records due to its amount of pre-sales.

Level-5 and Eleven Arts announced that select theaters across the nation will premiere the English-language version of the film on October 15. The voice cast will be lead by Johnny Yong Bosch, who also voices Nate in the English-language series. The film also introduces a brand new yokai, a blue floating cat named Hovernyan.

Check your local theaters for showtimes to catch Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie Event on October 15.
