Michael Bay has announced the official title of the upcoming fifth installment of the Transformers franchise: Transformers – The Last Knight.

Production is set to begin in June with Mark Wahlberg returning from the previous film, Age of Extinction, as mechanic Cade Yeager. Yeager is now under the protection of the Autobots after helping them out. However, he’s about to get some help in the form of a familiar face to the franchise.

Returning from the film’s original trilogy is Josh Duhamel, who played military colonel William Lennox, who was also an ally for the Autobots in their long war against the Decepticons and their leader, Megatron. Bay is also teasing of a possible return for another familiar face from the original trilogy, Tyrese Gibson‘s Epps.

It is unclear who is returning from any of the previous films as well at this time as is the official story of the film, but one thing is for sure: expect Peter Cullen to return to his most iconic voice role of Autobot leader Optimus Prime.

Transformers – The Last Knight is due for a Summer 2017 release from Paramount Pictures.
