At this past weekend’s Golden Globes award ceremony, Channing Tatum arrived sporting a very interesting hairstyle. Could this be part of Tatum’s look for his upcoming role as X-Men member Remy LeBeau, aka Gambit?

That could be the case as it was announced that filming of Gambit starts in March in New Orleans. Doug Liman (Mr. and Mrs. Smith) is helming the film after Rupert Wyatt left the project prior to its original November production date. Tatum, who will also serve as a producer, plays the card throwing martial arts expert with kinetic energy in his arsenal. The role was previously played by Taylor Kitsch in 2008’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Lea Seydoux, fresh off her success as the newest Bond Girl in Spectre, co-stars as LeBeau’s love interest, Bella Donna Boudreaux.

Gambit is still scheduled for an October 2016 release, but that may change depending on the production schedule.
