Eli Roth‘s new horror film Ice Cream Man will be released in theaters nationwide from the Horror Section on that date.

The film follows an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results.

Ari Millen will play the titular Ice Cream Man with Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiora Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer, Charlie Storey, and Roth himself as potential victims. Roth also co-wrote the film with Noah Belson with Brandon Roberts scoring the film with additional music by the one and only Snoop Dogg. Steve Newburn and Adrian Morot handle the special effects of the film.

Ice Cream Man will be released on August 7, which will compete with the thematic sequel Fall 2.
