In this latest Indie Chat exclusive, I talk to Bui Dam, a renowned theater director from the Faroe Islands. His mother, Birita Mohr, a legend in the Faroese theater scene, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2011. In 2022, Bui and his father decided to help Birita on a comeback trail when he decided to do a production of “King Lear”. The story is the focus of the documentary Birita, which makes its debut this weekend (March 15-17) at CPH: DOX, the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival.
