Brian Clarke‘s horror video game The Mortuary Assistant has become a movie and the trailer has arrived with its theatrical debut set for February.
The film follows newly certified mortician Rebecca Owens, who accepts a night shift at a mortuary, embalming bodies alone after hours. As disturbing events escalate, Rebecca uncovers demonic rituals, the dark secrets of her enigmatic mentor, and her own buried trauma—racing to survive the night before her body becomes a vessel for possession.
Willa Holland plays Rebecca and Paul Sparks as her mentor. The film was directed by Slapface director Jeremiah Kipp with Clarke himself co-writing the screenplay with Tracee Bebee. Patrick Ewald, Cole Payne, and Jacob P. Heineke serve as producers.
The film will hit theaters on February 13 before streaming on Shudder on March 27.
