Boop-boop-de-BOOP!

It was inevitable that with the iconic 1930 character Betty Boop coming to public domain in 2026, a horror film involving her would be made and it has!

The horror film, titled Boop, recently wrapped production with Jared Cohn at the helm and Jarrett Furst serving as a producer. Jose Prendes and Josh Ridgway wrote the script.

The film will involve a group of horror podcast journalists who head to an abandoned movie theater to learn about the legend of the 1930s starlet. They soon learn that Betty is still alive and is going to hunt the group down one by one.

Devanny Pinn, who made quite an impact last year with her directorial debut The Black Mass, plays Betty in the film. The supporting cast includes Katisha Shaw, Spencer Breslin, and Eva Hamilton.

Boop will be unleashed in 2026.
