“No One is Safe” (Niemand is veilig) in the new final trailer to the long-awaited sequel Amsterdamned II, set for release on December 4 in the Netherlands.

When a new series of murders begin to occur in the famed canals of the Netherlands’ capital city, detective Tara Lee is baffled and may believe the killer is either too good or perhaps supernatural. After four people dead in two days, the police decide to convince a retired detective, Eric Visser, to join Lee on the case as Visser had dealt with a similar case nearly four decades ago.
Huub Stapel returns to play Eric Visser after the 1988 hit film with Holly Mae Brood serving as his new partner and lead investigator Tara Lee. Bas Keijzer, Dunya Khayame, Pierre Bokma, and Leslie Grant co-star alongside another returnee from the original, Tatum Dagelet, who returns as Eric’s daughter Anneke.
Dick Maas, the force behind the original film as well as Dutch horror hit The Lift returns to the fold as writer and director as well as serve as producer alongside Diede in’t Veld and Edvard van’t Hout.
Amsterdamned II comes to theaters in the Netherlands, the first to be shown in IMAX in the country, on December 4 to celebrate the city’s 750th anniversary. Here’s hoping a U.S. release will happen in 2026.
