In this exclusive interview, I talk to filmmaker Paul Bunnell, whose passion for classic cinema is evident in his three films. We talk about those three films:
That Little Monster (1994): a film about a young woman who discovers the baby she is watching may not be human at all.
The Ghastly Love of Johnny X (2012): A 1950’s inspired hybrid of science fiction and teen delinquent films about an exiled alien who comes to Earth to find a device that could give him the power to control the world.
A Blind Bargain (2025): A reimagining of a lost 1922 Lon Chaney horror tale of a young man whose desperate need for money results in his mother being the subject of a mad scientist’s experimentation.
Bunnell has a distinctive style to his films, shot respectively on 16mm, 35mm, and super 16mm, showcasing his love for old school films and his passion to bring some fun entertainment for fans all over. Special Thanks to Paul Bunnell and Jed Rowen for making this interview possible.
