Get ready for a new podcast to launch on August 25 as yours truly is revamping the former WorldFilmGeek Podcast into something new and exciting!

Throughout the course of ten years, I have decided to solely focus on films from the mid-2000s to the present for the blog itself. However, with the older films, especially the classics, genre films, and B-movies of the VHS heyday era, what started as video Throwback Cinema reviews has evolved into a straightforward podcast that begins tomorrow.

The Video Store Geek Podcast will focus on older films ranging from the classic genre films to the B-movies up to the early 2000s, around the time the Golden Age of VHS ended, ca. 2005.

There will be some rare exceptions, such as titles from Visual Vengeance and other formerly out of print titles, which will be featured at WorldFilmGeek.com.

Tomorrow’s debut episode will focus on American Samurai, a 1993 martial arts action film starring David Bradley (not Mr. Filch from Harry Potter, but the American Ninja 2.0) and WorldFilmGeek Hall of Famer Mark Dacascos.

The episodes will launch simultaneously on Spotify (link TBA tomorrow) and the WorldFilmGeek YouTube Channel (see link on the main heading).
