It’s the end of an era coming. After nearly a decade of making fun throwback films to the 80’s and 90’s B-movie era, Las Vegas’ Mahal Empire Productions is closing after the sad passing of co-founder Michael Mahal a few weeks ago.

However, as Michael had once said…”never have a film be unfinished”.

At the time of Michael’s passing, he and brother/co-founder Sonny Mahal began to raise funds for a new film entitled Apex Predators Club. The film will mark a collaboration between Mahal and J. Horton, who is known for his indie horror films such as Craving and the recently released A Hard Place.

An IndieGoGo fundraiser to continue raising funds for The Apex Predators Club is ongoing. Plans are to shoot the film in September 2025 with Mahal as producer, Horton as writer/director, and Michael Su as cinematographer. Go to the following link and pledge your support to this film, which will be the final film from Mahal Empire Productions.
