Chad Ferrin returns to true crime horror with the story of Ed Kemper in the film’s official trailer.

The film follows the horrifying true story of Ed Kemper, a cunning and sadistic serial killer shaped by childhood abuse, whose charming facade masked his grotesque obsession with murder, mutilation, and the ultimate act of revenge against the woman who scarred him most—his mother.

In the titular role is Brandon Kirk and co-stars Cassandra Gava, Robert Miano, Brinke Stevens, Susan Priver, and Lew Temple. Ferrin directed from a script he co-wrote with Ted Bundy writer Stephen Johnston.

The film will be the first of a series of feature films revolving around true crime horror from DREAD with upcomings titles like Dorothea and Richard Ramirez also announced. Ed Kemper will be released on April 8 from DREAD.
