With the Cobra Kai series coming to an end in February on Netflix, what’s next for Daniel LaRusso? The answer lies in the official trailer to Karate Kid: Legends, a new film that will crossover two generations of the franchise.

In the new film, Daniel gets a visit from Chinese Kung Fu expert Han, played by Jackie Chan. Revealing that Han had known Daniel’s sensei Miyagi, he asks for Daniel’s help. A trip to the East Coast reveals that Han needs help with a student of his, Li Fong (American Born Chinese‘s Ben Wang), who is getting bullied and together, the two train Li Fong for an upcoming tournament.

The film co-stars Sadie Stanley, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, Joshua Jackson, and Ming-Na Wen. Written by Rob Lieberman and directed by Jonathan Entwistle, Karate Kid: Legends will be released in theaters on May 30, 2025.
