It is finally time for your favorite indie LGBTQ superhero to return as the trailer and major announcement has arrived in the form of Surge of Power: Where There’s Smoke!

In the new film, Surge, the first outed gay superhero is back and this time, he’s teaming up with a new hero in the form of Smoke (played by former pro wrestler Eric Moran) and they uncover a devious plan set forth by the evil Council, who Surge has been trying to stop for a long time now. There’s also the mysterious Fallen Apple, who is looking to avenge her father’s death and may have a connection to the Council.

Alongside star, writer, and director Vincent J. Roth, the film marks one of the final appearances of Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols. An ensemble cast including Robert Picardo, Sam J. Jones, Bruce Vilanch, Joseph Culp, and Shannon Farnon join in on the adventures of Surge of Power: Where There’s Smoke.

The film will be screened at New York’s Urban Action Showcase on November 9, followed by screenings in Los Angeles (November 29) and Philadelphia (December 7). For the latest information, go to https://surgeofpower.org/latest-news/
