A boyfriend gets desperate for answers in this funny martial arts comedy from the team who brought you Stabby Stabby.
When a woman returns home from a camping trip, her suffering boyfriend asks her where she had been. Completely oblivious by not listening to her before, he thought she was kidnapped. He goes on a quest to find anyone remotely close to her and seeks answers, his way. How did it go in the end? Watch and find out.
Once again, Aaron McGuire knows what to do when it comes to meshing action and comedy. McGuire’s suffering boyfriend is quite funny not because he’s suffering, but because he didn’t even pay attention to his girlfriend, played by Daycie De Luz, when she told him she would be going on a camping trip. This leads to a series of flashbacks where McGuire searches for answers and fights his way through a swarm of “goons”.
McGuire and the team of Angel Lopez, Elijah Villongco, and Niccolo Sohn choreographed their group fight and it looks good. It brings that Hong Kong style flavor of the action and we then see McGuire go solo and go through anyone in his way. Granted, the film is only about four minutes, but they are still a fun four minutes.
Not Taken is a fun-filled four minutes of confusion, chaos, and some all around fun action. The way this is going, I would love to see McGuire do a feature film down the road.
