Monsters…Assemble!

At first, it was teased that the duo of Rhys Frake-Waterfield and Scott Chambers would be crossing over their characters that will form the recently announced “Twisted Childhood Universe” (TCU). Now, it will become a reality as the duo have announced plans for a 2025 release of their crossover film titled Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.

According to Chambers, he had dreamt of a “horror crossover style” epic event like Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. However, knowing that will likely happen when pigs fly, he and Frake-Waterfield have decided now that they’ve gotten characters of old in public domain and have hit success with the 1st film, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, it’s time to start mapping things out.

Next in the TCU is Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey II, coming to the U.S. for a 3-night theatrical event on March 26 in select theaters. Others will include Bambi: The Reckoning, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, and Pinocchio Unstrung. There are also plans to do a Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland horror version as well in the future as they will be part of the TCU. Starting with Blood and Honey II, there will be Easter Eggs in the upcoming films that will connect to the Poohniverse crossover film.

As if that’s not crazy enough, Chambers has signed on to return as Christopher Robin, Megan Plactio as Wendy Darling (set to appear 1st in PPNN), Roxanne McKee as Xana (set to appear 1st in BTR), and Lewis Santer as Tigger. More casting to be announced soon.

Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble has a 2025 target date set.
