Anchor Bay Entertainment is back in business!!!
Originally a merging of Video Treasures and Starmaker Entertainment, Anchor Bay Entertainment was formed in May 1995. The company, under various corporations, lasted until 2017. However, Umbrelic Entertainment founders Brian Katz (center) and Thomas Zambeck (right) have revived the company as a distribution arm that will focus on genre films, undiscovered treasures, cult classics, and remastered catalog releases.
Their first titles are the puppet horror film Abruptio and the Gunnar Hansen documentary Dinner with Leatherface. However, they have acquired two more films.

One is Crust, which is about Vegas Winters, a depressed washed-up child actor, who fled Tinseltown and now owns and lives in a rundown laundromat. He finds lost socks in the machines and uses them to soak up all his bodily fluids. One night his tears of anguish turn the pile into a loving sock monster named Crust who becomes his protector and friend. Meanwhile he has a new girlfriend, a paranormal investigator poking around, and an old two-faced costar that is forcing him to join a reboot of their 90s sitcom. As Vegas’s life begins to spiral, Crust eliminates his enemies with deadly consequences.
The film marks the directorial debut of horror cult icon Sean Whalen, who also co-wrote and stars in the film alongside Daniel Roebuck, Rebekah Kennedy, Alan Ruck, and the iconic Felissa Rose, who also serves as a producer.

Announced today is the film Daddy, a sci-fi in which is set in a dystopian society where the state has the power to determine who can and cannot father children, four men attend a government-mandated retreat in the remote mountains of California. When the men show up to their retreat site, only to find no guide or instructions waiting for them, they are left to their own devices and must prove to themselves —and each other— that they have what it takes to become fathers.
Yuriy Sardarov, Jacqueline Toboni, Pomme Koch, and Britt Baron star in the film co-written and co-directed by Neal Kelley and Jono Sherman, who make their feature debut.
Welcome back Anchor Bay Entertainment!
