A group of people encounter a world like never before in this sci-fi action thriller from director Victor de Almeida.

A group of people are on a trip. They include couple Drew and Beth, Jason, Phillipa, and pilots Jenny and . En route to their destination, they encounter a massive storm. Forced to land, they find themselves on an island possibly in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. Attempting to find a way to escape, they soon experience the unbelievable as they experience massive creatures who inhabit the island.

As the group attempts to escape the island, they soon find themselves crossing paths with a band of mercenaries who have also been trapped on the island. At first, there is major tension between the two groups. However, with the creatures and dinosaurs on the loose, they must find a way to work together and survive the island before it’s too late.

This is a strange fantasy action film that is a CGI lover’s dream, especially when mixed with practical effects. At first glance from the trailer, one would guess this would be borderline ridiculous and for the most part, it succeeds on that part. However, you have to hand it to the acting in part of some of the cast, whose thespian skills elevate the film from being a complete bomb.

While there are a few cast members who go a bit over the top, there are clear exceptions, especially Sian Altman as Beth, the headstrong girlfriend of Darrell Griggs’ Drew. He tries to constantly act like the chivalrous knight in shining armor where she knows deep down she can hold her own. She even goes between Drew and a mercenary who go at odds as to how to stop one of the creatures, telling them they can go once they let go of their massive egos. There’s also the headstrong Jenny, played by Dorothea Jones, who despite being seen as inferior, proves herself for the most part.

The creature effects are the laughable piece of the film as we have both dinosaurs and some sort of hybrid creatures that use sonar to make their victims explode and even the explosion look quite funny to watch. The dinosaurs are easy to look at, but the hybrid ones are quite laughable especially when one creepily runs towards and kicks at one potential victim. Some of the deaths are pretty graphic (including CGI-style explosions) and others look funny as heck.

Jurassic Triangle has a pro in some good acting from certain cast members, but the CGI monsters and some kills are so laughable that it can’t go unnoticed.

The film will be released to Digital on February 13.
