It’s that time of year coming again! For the 3rd year in a row, I am planning to interview female filmmakers and actors in March for Women’s History Month with the Ladies of Film interview series.

In 2022, it began with the Ladies of Horror interview series with the likes of Reine Swart, Maria Olsen, and Jamie Bernadette coming in to talk about their experiences with the genre. In 2023, I decided to future expand and talk about film as a whole. Last year’s series included Liesl Ahlers, Zoe Cunningham, Marianna Dean, Dawna Lee Heising, and Meredith Thomas.

And so here we are, in 2024, and it’s time to once again call upon female actors and filmmakers to talk about their favorite experiences in the world of filmmaking and the hard work they achieved through this great medium.

This year, in addition to individual interviews, there comes the idea of a filmmaker roundtable, a group interview with female filmmakers to talk about their favorite films to have made and perhaps discuss “passion projects”.

If you want to be a part of this year’s Ladies of Film interview series and/or filmmaker roundtable, here’s all you need to do:

Send me an e-mail at WorldFilmGeek@gmail.com with the subject “Ladies of Film”. Please let me know if you want to do an individual interview or be a part of the filmmaker roundtable. I’m announcing this today, January 31, to give this month time to prepare (coordinating schedules and all) with interviews and the roundtable to begin in early March.

The interviews and roundtable will be Zoom meetings (I will provide the link once scheduling is confirmed) and we will have both a video version on the WorldFilmGeek YouTube channel (if you would like a copy of the meeting, I will gladly send it) and an audio version will be also on the WorldFilmGeek Podcast on Spotify.

If you or anyone you know want to be a part of the Ladies of Film series this year, now’s the time to prepare. Hope to see you there this year!
