He’s finally coming…and will debut at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas next month…we’re talking about The Toxic Avenger.

The long-awaited reboot, after years of development, was filmed in 2021 with Macon Blair writing and directing the new film, with support from the creator of the iconic monster hero, Lloyd Kaufman, who is serving as executive producer alongside Troma co-founder Michael Herz.

From the official Fantastic Fest website:
“A horrible toxic accident transforms downtrodden janitor Winston Gooze into a new evolution of hero: THE TOXIC AVENGER! Now wielding a glowing mop with super-human strength, he must race against time to save his son and stop a ruthless and power-hungry tyrant bent on harnessing toxic superpowers to strengthen his polluted empire.”

Peter Dinklage will be wielding the mop as Winston and his alter ego, The Toxic Avenger. Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Taylour Paige, and Jacob Tremblay co-star in the film. Legendary Pictures unveiled the first photo of the new reboot above.
