It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but having recently got a bunch of trailers to post within hours, I decided to give you all another Trailer Watch. Check out the trailers for these upcoming indie films and as always, #SupportIndieFilm and #JoinTheFilmGeekdom

Quiver Entertainment is set to unleash a Dead Shot with this thriller starring Aml Ameen, Colin Morgan, and Mark Strong. Written and directed by Tom and Charles Guide, the film will be released in theaters, VOD, and Digital on August 18.

When a border ambush goes wrong, a retired Irish paramilitary Michael (Morgan) witnesses the fatal shooting of his pregnant wife by British Sergeant, Tempest (Ameen). Now wounded, and presumed dead, he escapes, taking his revenge to the dark and paranoid streets of 1970’s London. Raw and suspenseful, Dead Shot is an adrenaline-fueled thriller that will leave audiences weighing up the true cost of revenge.

Next up is the horror film Holistay, which marks the feature film directorial debut of Mary Gallagher, who also wrote and produced the film. Starring Irish soap opera star Gavin O’Fearraigh, the film will be released on VOD and Digital July 25 from Breaking Glass Pictures.

Holistay, which lensed in Vegas, follows two couples – Finn and Branna from Ireland and Tony and Gia from New York. They do not know each other until they double book a vacation house in San Diego. Unable to reach the owners, the couples decide to all stay at the house since decent lodging is scarce that weekend. They find they all get along although one couple harbors a dark secret.

From director Daphen Baiwir comes the documentary King on Screen, which focuses on the film adaptations based on the works of the legendary Stephen King. There are interviews with Frank Darabont, Tom Holland (not the Spider-Man actor, but the horror icon), Greg Nicotero, and many more. The film will be released in theaters on August 11 and then on Blu-Ray and VOD on September 8 from Dark Star Pictures.

1976, Brian de Palma directs Carrie, the first novel by Stephen King. Since then, more than 50 directors have adapted the master of horror’s books, in more than 80 films and series, making him the most adapted author alive in the world . What’s so fascinating about him that filmmakers cannot stop adapting his works? KING ON SCREEN reunites the filmmakers that have adapted Stephen King’s books for cinema and TV, including Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, The Walking Dead), Tom Holland (The Langoliers, Chucky), Mick Garris (The Stand, Sleepwalkers) and Taylor Hackford (Dolores Claiborne, Ray). It is a movie made for the fans and with the fans, led by an international ambition.

A killer pirate movie? Yes! Claudia La Bianca will unleash the supernatural pirate movie The Abode on July 18 on DVD and Digital from Dark Star Pictures. Ariadna Gonzalez Medina, Montana Cypress, Karmel Bortoleti, and Chris Darsow star.

In the 1800s, a young, handsome native American named Talako is caught with the wife of a merciless pirate known as Redbeard, who then orders for him to be burned alive at the stake. Witnessing Talako’s execution, Redbeard’s wife Lara hangs herself. Talako’s spirit never ascends and haunts anyone who comes near the old house. Almost 300 years later, Lara and Talako meet face to face and learn that everything happens for a reason.

It’s time for another female-driven action thriller with I am Rage, which takes a bit of a twist in terms of the villains. From the director of the Redwood Massacre films, the film was co-written by Army of One‘s stunt coordinator Stephen Durham. The film stars Hannaj Bang Bendz , Marta Svetek, and Derek Nelson. The film will be released on DVD and Digital on August 1.

Erin’s idyllic countryside trip turns to terror when a sinister blood cult abducts her. But they made a grave mistake, her abductors soon learn the painful consequences of crossing someone with severe anger issues.

Site 13 is a horror film that was shot over a period of 17 years and star Nathan Faudree (who co-directed with Tony Urban), Katie Gibson, and Leila Dean. The film will be released on Digital on July 28.

When Dr. Nathan Marsh wakes up in a mental institution from a 10 year catatonic state he has to watch the tapes from his last expedition to learn what eldritch horrors he has unleashed on the world. Using found footage shot in 2003 as flashback material for a present day story featuring a recurring character, SITE 13 crafts two films from two time periods into one movie that explores, myth, legacy, and madness over the course of more than a decade.

Glass House Distribution presents the new LGBTQ+ horror film Dying to Sleep, starring Eric Roberts, Dave Sheridan, and Paris Dylan, who wrote, produced, and directed. The film will be released on VOD and Digital on July 24.

Dying to Sleep follows a young woman who in desperation to cure her chronic, terrifying nightmares, turns to a reclusive holistic Doctor (Roberts). As her clarity sharpens, she unearths the frightening mystery behind his obscure methods.

Finally, we have the upcoming action film The Collective, starring Lucas Till, Don Johnson, Ruby Rose, and Mercedes Varnado, formerly known as WWE superstar Sasha Banks. The film will be released in theaters, VOD, and Digital on August 4.

A group of righteous assassins called The Collective take aim at a highly sophisticated human trafficking ring backed by a network of untouchable billionaires. With their backs against the wall, The Collective has no choice but to put their most important mission in the hands of rookie assassin Sam Alexander.
