A few months ago, Guillermo del Toro made the announcement that a third installment of his Hellboy franchise was no longer in the cards, disappointing many of the film series’ fans.
However, Mike Mignola, the creator of the original comics had taken to Facebook Monday afternoon to announce that there will be a third film. However, this will be a complete reboot. Mignola even may have brought a shock to fans as he announced that The Descent director Neil Marshall will be helming the film and it will be aiming for an R-rating where del Toro’s films were both rated PG-13.
He also dropped another bomb in the form of Stranger Things actor David Harbour, who will replace Ron Perlman in the role for Hellboy himself.
As Mignola said to end the post…More News to Come…
