The teaser trailer to Thor‘s third adventure has arrived and as promised, there is plenty of action with some injected humor courtesy of director Taika Waititi.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Joining Hemsworth, Ruffalo, and Blanchett are Tom Hiddleston returning as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Ray Steveson as Volstagg,  Tadanobu Asano as Hogun, and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Benedict Cumberbatch makes a cameo returning as his Marvel character Doctor Strange. New cast members include Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.

Thor: Ragnarok will premiere in theaters on November 3 from Marvel Studios.
