It’s safe to say that 87Eleven Stunt Team co-founder Chad Stahelski is truly one of the busiest guys in Hollywood because not long after it was announced he will co-direct and choreograph the anticipated Triple Threat, Stahelski signed on to direct another film.
The film in question? The long developed reboot of the classic 1986 sci-fi hit Highlander. Stahelski is the latest to tackle the director’s chair after the likes of Justin Lin, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, and Cedric-Nicolas Troyan. Neal H. Moritz is still scheduled to produce the film with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway to write the screenplay.
The 1986 film revolves around the immortal Connor McLeod, played by Christopher Lambert. The film spawned a slew of sequels, a hit TV series, and spin-offs.
Stahelski’s recent film, John Wick: Chapter 2 will be out this February and with his assignment to take on Triple Threat, perhaps a 2018 release is in store for Highlander.
More as this develops.
