This September, it’s time for the return of the Portakalos Family.

Focus Features announced a global theatrical release date of September 8 for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, the third installment of the franchise featuring that great Greek-American blended family and their hijinks as they plan another big, fat, Greek wedding.

Original cast members Nia Vardalos, John Corbett, Andrea Martin, Louis Mandylor, Elena Kampouris, Maria Vacratis, Gia Carides, and Joey Fatone are all returning alongside new cast members Elias Kacavas and Melina Kotselou. Michael Constantine, who played patriarch Costa “Gus” Portakalos, passed away in 2021 and the film will be dedicated to his memory and amazing legacy in the role.

After having her own wedding and her parents’ wedding, Toula Portakalos-Miller (Vardalos) and her husband Ian (Corbett) are heading to Greece for the wedding of their daughter Paris (Kampouris) and with the extended Portakalos family behind, hilarity is set to happen.

Vardalos herself not only stars and wrote the script, she directs the new film following Joel Zwick and Kirk Jones, who helmed the previous two films in 2002 and 2016.
