Fans of 80’s scream queen Linnea Quigley are in for a major treat. One of her never-released films will finally see the light of day thanks to the crew at Visual Vengeance.

In the 1989 film Heartland of Darkness, in the small town of Copperton, Ohio, Paul Henson, a former big-city journalist, buys a small local newspaper. He quickly falls into a wide-reaching conspiracy of ritualistic murder and cult mind control when he discovers that the entire town may be under the spell of a Satanic reverend and his flock. As the clues and corpses pile up, Henson and his family are thrust into a life-or-death struggle to expose the truth and stop the demonic cabal’s reign of evil.

Also known as Blood Church, the film was directed by Eric Swelstad, who shot the film on 16mm film and was lost for over three decades. The gang at Visual Vengeance will be releasing a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray packed with extras that spotlight the original creators and talk about the film’s history and final completion.

The Blu-Ray will be released on November 8, 2022 from Visual Vengeance.
