(L-R): Alexander Nevsky, Natalie Denise Sperl, and Joe Cornet on the set

Russian bodybuilder, indie action star, and WorldFilmGeek Hall of Famer Alexander Nevsky is now delving into the horror genre.

After completing work on his first Western, Assault in Rio Bravo, Nevsky is now producing and re-teaming with AIRB co-star/director Joe Cornet on a new horror film called Night of the Caregiver. The plot is as described:

Hospice nurse Juliet is hired to be caregiver for Lillian, who lives in an isolated house in a remote area. Although she’s terminally ill, the elderly Lillian seems to be a cordial and sweet lady. However, as the night goes on, Juliet suspects someone else is also dwelling in the house causing she and Lillian to be in grave danger…

The film co-stars Cornet, Eric Roberts, Natalie Denise Sperl, Anna Oris, and genre legend Eileen Dietz, who fans will know for her role as the demonic entity Pazuzu in the 1973 classic The Exorcist. Craig Hamann wrote the screenplay.

Here are some on-set photos, thanks to Nevsky:

Production is underway in Los Angeles. Both Assault on Rio Bravo and Night of the Caregiver are set for a 2022 release.
