After seven films with Milla Jovovich and husband Paul W.S. Anderson doing a more sci-fi take on the video game franchise, we are getting the “real” Resident Evil in the official trailer to the reboot Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
Set in 1998, survivors Claire and Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Leon S. Kennedy try to uncover the truth behind the evil Umbrella Corp. while battling bloodthirsty zombies in the wastelands of Raccoon City.
Inspired by the first two games, this new adaptation stars Kaya Scodelario as Claire. Robbie Amell as Chris, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill, and Avan Jogia as Leon. Neal McDonough co-stars as William Birkin and Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker.
Johannes Roberts directs the film and will be exclusive only in theaters on November 24 from Sony Pictures.
