Some major teaser trailers have emerged and we will begin with a film many have been awaiting for because when it was first announced, it picked out a lot of interest.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw was the idea of Chris Rock, the latest comedian to delve into horror after the likes of Jordan Peele (Get Out) and Danny McBride (Halloween). Rock came up with the idea, serves as executive producer, and stars as a cop who discovers some sinister has been targeting police officers and clues point to a familiar face. Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, and Marisol Nichols co-star in the film, which brings Darren Lynn Bousman back to the franchise as director with Jigsaw scripters Josh Strobel and Pete Goldfinger scripting this installment.

Then, this past weekend finally saw the long awaited return of Dominic Toretto and his “family” in the official trailer to F9: The Fast Saga.

Vin Diesel returns to his iconic role of Dom, who is enjoying life with wife Letty and son Brian. However, a new threat comes in the form of a mysterious thief who is also an expert driver and with good reason…it is Dom’s younger brother Jakob, who has been estranged from the family and now has allied himself with the returning Cipher, who vows revenge after failing to make Dom fall under her control.

Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster. Tyrese GibsonChris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Charlize Theron return for the ninth film in the series, along with a very special surprise (see the end of the trailer to find out who!). John Cena plays Jakob in the film, which brings back Justin Lin to the franchise after sitting out Furious 7  and The Fate of the Furious.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw will be released on May 15 from Lionsgate and F9: The Fast Saga will rev up one week later on May 22 from Universal.
