Jared Leto goes from being a “joker” to being a vampire in the official teaser trailer to Morbius. 

Based on the Marvel comic character created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, Leto takes on the role of Dr. Michael Morbius, a scientist who suffers from a rare blood disease that is potentially fatal. As a last resort, Morbius discovers a cure that not only heals him, but gives him superhuman strength and speed. However, there’s a very deadly side effect. He has become a vampire and uses his newfound skills to stop anyone who gets in his way.

Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson co-star in the film, directed by Daniel Espinosa from a script by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Look out for the big surprise in the finale of this trailer!

Morbius bites his way into theaters on July 31, 2020 as part of the Sony Universe of Marvel Cahracteds, the SUMC.
